As a stalwart in the industry, our initiatives are directed towards achieving not only contemporary goals but also charting a course towards a sustainable and prosperous tomorrow. With a commitment to societal well-being, our focus lies in crafting a society that is not only stronger, thanks to our superior steel products but also greener, as we relentlessly pursue eco-friendly practices. Join us on this transformative journey, where responsible leadership meets visionary goals, ensuring a future that is both robust and environmentally conscious.
Our commitment to sustainability is evident in our transition to energy-efficient machinery. This strategic move not only reduces our energy consumption but also plays a vital role in minimizing emissions.
Emphasizing our dedication, we have implemented a rigorous waste management protocol. This guarantees responsible recycling or disposal of waste materials, further contributing to our environmental goals.
Health and safety stand paramount for Jagdamba Steels Limited (JSL), mirroring the priorities of contemporary industries. Our factory premises offer a healthy working environment, and we've faced no issues stemming from our daily production activities.
As a precautionary step, we've implemented an effective air pollution control system that operates effectively to manage pollution levels. Regular monitoring ensures the optimal performance of our Air Pollution Control (APC) plant, prioritizing the health and safety of our workforce.
In adherence to government directives, we undertake environmental monitoring biannually and furnish reports to the pertinent authorities.
To ensure additional protection for our employees, JSL provides N95 masks to those working within the plant, underscoring our commitment to health and safety.
Addressing past conflicts with the local community, we engaged in dialogues facilitated by local authorities, resulting in amicable resolutions and improved relations.
Responding to community concerns, JSL has implemented initiatives such as tree planting along the 5 km Simra to Pathalaiya stretch and installing traffic signals, benefiting both the community and the region's aesthetics.
To prevent potential accidents and environmental degradation including ammonia and LPG gas leaks within the factory grounds, JSL has formulated a detailed SOP. Tailored to our factory's unique requirements, the SOP is a crucial preventive measure ensuring the well-being of our employees and the community at large.
In compliance with government regulations, we collect Waste Pickle Liquor (WPL) and follow a comprehensive treatment process, maintaining the pH value according to environmental standards.
The Process includes collecting the WPL generated from pickling in the sump pit and storing in a separate tank built for treatment by using an electric water pump. After testing the PH value of the accumulated water, it is sent for neutralization process where Lime and WPL impurities are mixed in the neutralization tank. Again, the pH value is tested for normal water condition (5.50 to 8.50). After that, the water is collected in the CWT (Clean water tank). After purification, the clean water is tested and discharged after maintaining the pH (Hydrogen Ion Concentration) value of the water according to the environmental standards.
Ensuring the safety of our employees and the nearby community, we have instituted stringent safety protocols. Regular drills and training sessions prepare our workforce to effectively address emergencies.
JSL has formed a dedicated emergency response team that collaborates closely with local authorities, ensuring swift and efficient action during potential incidents.
We prioritize safety with the maintenance and stocking of essential emergency response equipment, including fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, and sand, ready for immediate deployment in case of emergencies. A majority of our employees are trained to operate fire-fighting equipment.
